This half-day introductory session with Robin Shelton will equip you with all the knowledge you need to load film into a camera and learn basic camera handling.
Depending on the Great British weather we will meet either at a pre-arranged location to shoot some landscape or at the Devon Darkroom studio complex where we can concentrate on a still-life studio set-up.
We will begin by running through a small but essential chat about the theory of film, cameras, lenses and exposure before getting a film loaded up and starting to shoot. I will be on-hand at all times to answer any questions and to discuss composition, viewpoints and some theory behind what distinguishes a good photograph from a snapshot!
All equipment and materials are provided and after you have finished the session I will develop your film and post it back to you.
Morning sessions run from 9.30-12.30, afternoons from 1.30-4.30.
