Craft Workshops During August 24

I've been kept busy this summer providing more craft workshops for some of the East Devon Community Hubs. This time it was making terracotta clay animals using pinch pots as a starter. Quite an imaginative menagerie were created at Seaton, Lympstone and Broadclyst.

I also contributed to the East Devon Tenants Day in Sidmouth by bringing along bags of potatoes and paints for making printed potato stamp bags, which resulted in an invite to join the Ukrainian Community in East Devon a couple of days later to celebrate Ukraine Independence Day on 24 August. I made a special stamp for them to proudly use. A special afternoon with lovely people.

I particularly enjoy doing these one-off workshops and meeting such a variety of people of all ages and situations, with a simple craft technique that is adaptable for everyone, from toddlers to those with sight impairment or arthritis. Achieving some joy in being creative.
