Inspired by large pebbles which largely make up the local beaches at Lyme Regis and Sidmouth in Devon. These hollow porcelain paper clay beads are textured using found rusty beach detritus or shells.
Ancient recipes for Egyptian paste are used to create smaller beads, marine-grade steel cable and oversized handmade brass findings strengthen the structure and complete the drama.
Currently on show at the Devon Guild in Making It until 12 September 2021
