Netted Fish
This shows initial research with nets and porcelain at the beginning of the first lockdown in 2020. Hand-knotting nets and tangling fish transformed into nets dipped in clay slip and fired. I love the texture and unpredictability of the results even though they could potentially be fragile, which in many ways mirrors the current state of our oceans and the precarious future marine life is facing now.
