When lockdown began, I was disorientated and isolated in rural Devon. Gradually, through experimentation; by stretching and pulling at ideas, I uncovered a new strand of work entwining rusty wire into handheld ‘containers’ for porcelain pipefish, which soon grew into huggable sizes to contain larger objects. But are these traps or cocoons for fish? and were we protected during lockdown or trapped?
